ABOUT
The Long Cottage is a charming holiday home located in historic Malmesbury. Our spacious property, built in 1640, is a beautiful 4-bedroom house that can accommodate up to 10 guests, making it perfect for large groups. The large garden, multiple reception rooms and fully equipped kitchen provide a comfortable and convivial stay.
Saul is a Chef, trained at Le Cordon Bleu. If you decide cooking and clearing up is a drag, contact Saul, he is happy to help as your Private Chef.
The House
The Long Cottage just goes back and back.
An entrance hall for coats and boots with a desk and monitor for working from home. A comfy TV room with open fire, a snug with a wood burner and a large kitchen/diner.
Plenty of room for the whole family.
The Bedrooms
Our home features four spacious and well-appointed bedrooms, providing a cozy and relaxing atmosphere for our guests to enjoy.

THINGS TO DO
THE ABBEY
Malmesbury Abbey is a former Benedictine abbey dedicated to Saint Peter and Saint Paul. It was one of the few English religious houses with a continuous history from the 7th century
Country Walks
Many great walks are minutes away. Go deep into the Wiltshire countryside or follow the river around Malmesbury and stop off in a few pubs on the way!
Eating and Drinking
The Long Cottage is situated in the historic centre, there are some lovely pubs and restaurants in this very friendly town.
HISTORY!
Malmesbury has a lot! Athelstan, the first King Of England is buried in the Abbey. We had a Flying Monk, the first person to be killed by a Tiger in the UK and much more...
Stay in our home
With a big Waitrose a few minute from the house and the excellent "Michael's butchers". Staying in and eating at the large inside or outside tables is a wonderful way to pass the day.

All dogs are welcome at the Long Cottage. The garden is fenced, we haven't had an escaped dog yet

We have a large Garden with a small stream at the end. It has a long table, big enough to seat all 10.
Linen
All towels and bed linen is provided.
Space
With 3 reception rooms, a huge kitchen/diner, 4 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, a home office space and a large garden, there is plenty of room for everyone to be comfortable (find the visitors book!)
